UNDERSTANDING YOUR DECISION
What Jesus did for you:
Jesus is God himself come to Earth. He first lived a perfect life, loving God with all his heart, soul, and mind. Then, instead of receiving his deserved reward for himself alone, Jesus gave his life as a sacrifice for our sins, taking the punishment and death each of us deserved. Sin is living our own way rather than God’s way. Jesus Christ has bridged the gap between our old life without God and our new life with Him.
Romans 3:23 says, “…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…” The Bible says that, “… the wages of sin is death but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 5:8 states, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
What you have decided:
You have made the greatest decision of your life! By accepting God’s free gift of salvation through Jesus, you are now on the road that leads to eternal life, leaving behind your old way of living your own way apart from God. Your new life is living God’s way by believing and following Jesus.
Today you stand in a right relationship with God. You are not only saved from sin but also called into a great destiny and future in Him.
Now what? We encourage you to take the following 5 easy steps (“Next Steps”) to start your new life in Christ in right direction!
#1 | REACH OUT
It is our desire to help you begin your new walk with God in the right direction. Help us by providing some more information about yourself so we can stay in contact with you and provide the necessary support you need for the exciting journey ahead. Email us (info@myccav.com) or call us (949-961-5515) letting us know that you made a Decision. Please provide us with the best way of contacting you.
#2 | GET PLUGGED IN
Participate in weekly worship services (See directions / service times). This is the environment in which you will best learn how to participate in what God is doing in your church. God orchestrates these times to benefit the entire church and God’s word teaches us to stay consistently involved in them.
#3 | MAKE A CONNECTION
Find a connection point (See real connections). Connection points are small groups of believers in the church that meet on a weekly basis to develop close, supportive friendships with one another. You need consistent interaction with other believers in order to lay a reliable foundation for your new spiritual life.
#4 | WALK WITH GOD
Begin reading the Bible (God’s word to you) and praying (talking with God) daily. Along with study and prayer, Pastor Doug has provided a rich archive of sermons to help strengthen and encourage you in your walk with God (See media resources). God sent his Holy Spirit to teach you what God is speaking to you through the Bible and how to pray. Give God the opportunity to speak to you by spending time alone with Him each day.
#5 | START THE JOURNEY TO BELONG
An opportunity for you to meet your new pastors and leadership team, hear the history of Celebration, meet other people, and be launched into the life of Celebration.
(See Get Involved)
Start today! Let us know if you need prayer, or to simply talk with one of our pastors. (info@myccav.com)
